Anky van Grunsven is the only rider to win 3 individual golds. These came in dressage in 2000,2004 and 2008.The only show-jumper to win two individual golds is Pierre Jonqueres d’Orola (France) in 1952 and 1964. In eventing three riders, Charles Pahud de Mortanges (NED) in 1928 and 1932, Mark Todd (NZ) in 1984 and 1988, Michael Jung (GER) 2012 and 2016 have won two individual golds.
