World Hall of Fame 1905

The choice of four new members of my Hall of Fame:

Willie Anderson (Scotland/USA-Golf): The only man to win three consecutive US Open golf championships and still jointly holds the record for most wins with four (in 1901,1903,1904 and 1905)

Anton Heida (USA – Gymnastics): At the 1904 Olympics won the most gold medals of any athlete. He won five golds and one silver medal at the Games.

Tommy Ryan (USA – Boxing): World welterweight champion in the 1890s and world middleweight champion from 1898 to 1907  although he last defended the title in 1902.

Robert “Bob” Wrenn (USA -Tennis): Winner of the US Championships in singles four times (1893,1894,1896,1897) and beaten finalist in 1895. Won the US Championships in doubles in 1895.
